Standing Room Society ("SRS," "we," "us") is a directory of same-day Broadway and Off-Broadway ticket information. This policy explains what data we collect and how it's used.
What We Collect
We do not require accounts or logins to use this site, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or payment details.
We use Vercel Analytics to understand overall site traffic (e.g., page views, general location by country/region, device type, and referring pages). This data is aggregated and anonymized — it is not tied to your name or any other identifying information, and we do not use it to track you across other websites.
Shared Experiences
If you choose to answer "How did it go for you?" on a show, we store your answers: which ticket option you tried (rush, lottery, or standing room), whether you got a ticket, and, if you choose to answer, the price you paid and whether standing room was available, along with the show and the date. These answers are shown publicly on the site under a randomly assigned theater pen name (for example, "Matinee Mavis"), never your real name.
So you can add follow-up answers or undo a report, your browser is given an anonymous ID the first time you share. It is not linked to your name, email address, or any account. Reports are stored with our database provider, Supabase, which may log technical details such as your IP address when your browser saves a report, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
To remove a report right after sharing it, use Undo. To ask us to remove one later, contact us at mjfloyd3@gmail.com.
Cookies and Local Storage
This site does not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes. If you share an experience, your browser's local storage keeps your anonymous ID and pen name so you can edit or undo your reports; these are not used for advertising or to track you across other websites.
Third-Party Links
SRS links out to third-party sites (such as Playbill, individual show pages, and box office ticketing pages) for showtime and ticket information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies directly.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
